DovaFR ADP 331 is an organic phosphinate (ADP) used in high temperature plastics including Nylon, PA, PBT, and PET.
It is an excellent halogen-free flame retardant for use in engineering plastics such as polyamides, polyesters, thermosets and elastomers. As a white powder, DovaFR ADP 331 is not hygroscopic and is insoluble in water and common organic solvents like acetone, dichloromethane, MEK, and toluene.

DovaFR ADP 331 is suited as a flame retardant for thermoplastics and thermosets. Due to its high phosphorus content, the product is distinguished by high efficiency. It can be applied in high temperature polyamides (like PA 6T/66) because of its superior thermal stability.
In high temperature polyamides (PA 6T/66), a dosage of approximately 15% (by wt.) is usually sufficient to obtain the UL 94 V-0 classification (at 1.6 and 0.8 mm thicknesses).
Predry the polymer before incorporating. Moisture content should be below 0.1% for high temp polyamides, 0.05% for PBT, and 0.005% for PET. Homogeneous dispersion is critical. The polymer melt temperature should not exceed 350 °C.
