Product Description

ASTM D1160 Touch Screen Automatic Vacuum Distillation of Petroleum Tester

This test method is used for the determination of the distillation characteristics of petroleum products, biodiesel, and fractions that may decompose if distilled at atmospheric pressure. It covers the determination, at reduced pressures, of the range of boiling points that can be partially or completely vaporized at a maximum liquid temperature of 400 °C.

The boiling range is directly related to viscosity, vapor pressure, heating value, average molecular weight, and many other chemical and physical properties.
